Sunshine

The last few days have been absolutely GORGEOUS here!!!! We are having ideal weather......... sunshine, temps in the upper 70's, and no humidity!!!!!!!

This past weekend was nice........ we did the normal running around we usually do and Saturday Steve and I had a date night!! We went to dinner with Mark and Marybeth (their last date night before baby arrives!! :)) and had awesome food and yummy lemon drop martinis!! hmmm!! After dinner, Mark and Marybeth went home and Steve and I went to see the new flick Breakup. It started out quite funny, but then fizzled out at the end. Not bad, but not great for sure!!! It was nice to be on a date with my hubby though!
Sunday we went to church, breakfast, and the whole family took a nap!! I made a scrumptious dinner that night and that was it!!!
Monday, Mackenzie had her first day at her new preschool and she had an AWESOME day!! I feel soo good about our decision to change her school. She was not aprehensive at all at drop off and was in great spirits when I picked her up, telling me how much fun she had. I LOVE her teacher.......Mrs Harding......she has the happy and enthusiastic attitude we have been missing!!! I feel so relieved to have Mackenzie there and feel like I should have made this decision long ago....better late than never I guess! This next year will be such an important year for her to get ready for kindergarten, so I am excited to see what she will learn!!!

Yesterday was the perfect day (other than I had a horrible allergy attack ALL day!!! The Flonase I was taking is not doing the trick, so Im giving Claritin D a try today....so far so good.) But anyway.......we were outside almost the entire day yesterday!!!! We went out at 9am and came in for a two hour nap break adn thats it!!! We even ate lunch and dinner outside (I barbecued chicken and asparagus for dinner!!) We didnt come in until 8pm!!!!! The girls and I were pooped, but it was soo nice, we just stayed out and played all day!!!!

Mackenzie got inline skates for her birthday last year (thanks aunty and uncle pat), but I didnt feel she was coordinated enough last year to try them out. So........we pulled them out yesterday and she loves them!!! We definitely have a large learning curve ahead, but she did pretty good learning to balance!! I got some cute pictures of her goofing around and trying them out!!!

Well, Im off to take Oma to the dentist and then pick Mackenzie up!!! The skate pics wouldnt load (ARHHH) Ill try to load them later!
