I ended up having a great birthday!! After getting back from taking Courtney to the airport, Dad and I came back and Steve was over at the neighbors with the girls swimming so we joined in. We had a nice time relaxing and swimming, and then came home and got ready to go out to dinner. We went to one of my favorite restaurants, called 91. We then came back home and had my favorite.........jamoca almond fudge ice cream cake!!! I then opened my presents from everyone and got everything I had asked for, so I must have been a good girl this year :))
I got a new purse that I wanted, the Nike + iPod (which will track my running...for those who dont know, its a chip that goes in my running shoes and relays info to my iPod!!), some perfume that I wanted, and some Coach shoes that I had my eye on!!!!
Today Mackenzie and I had hair appts, so I got my usual cut and color, and she got her hair cut before school starts. She likes to cut it up to her shoulders before school starts, after she has grown it out all summer. It looks sooo cute, and makes her look even more grown up!!!
Tonight we had Taylor's preschool open house and met her teacher (whom we LOVED) and is an absolute perfect fit for her!!! I knew her a little from when Mackenzie was at preschool there, though she never had her as a teacher) I had secretly hoped Taylor would get her as a teacher, and she did! There were also two other kids that Taylor knows from other activities or church, and she was soo excited to go and meet her teacher, Mrs. Addessi. It was funny when we walked in, as her teacher said right away that she knew who Taylor was because she knew her big sister Mackenzie (Dad had taken Mackenzie to soccer practice tonight as it was at the same time) She also said, she remember Mackenzie because she was always dressed so fashionably!!! I told her Taylor was even more into her fashion and clothes!!! (YES, the child changes clothes a minimum of 3-4 times a day and I am not kidding!!!)
I am looking forward to a great school year!!! Taylor is definitely ready for preschool and Im sure she will learn alot in those two days she will go. And Mackenzie is very much ready and excited to start 1st grade. She is really looking forward to it, and I just cant believe how much she has grown up. It will be nice to have my special time with Taylor every day, and hopefully catch up on some scrapbooking and other things.
