Date Night

I feel that this needs its own post.

I had a date night with Mackenzie last night!!! I can honestly say I cannot remember the last time I did something special with just Mackenzie....without Taylor and without Steve. I take for granted I do things with Taylor during the day w/out Mackenzie and I used to with Mackenzie before she was in school all day.

So, the girls take turns sleeping over at Omas every now and then. Mackenzie for two weekends in a row has had her best friend from school over for a sleepover, and then slept over at another friends. So last night Taylor got to go to Oma's and spend the night. Steve was up at the Cleveland Auto Show with his counterparts from work so I figured the perfect opportunity to spend some special time with Mackenzie.

We started off the evening at home playing a few rounds of go fish! Then we headed out to Panera for soup and salad for dinner. We ran into Mackenzies teacher there, and you would think she saw a rock star! It is soo cute how much kids love their teachers at this age. After dinner, we headed over to this pottery painting place and just hung out painting together. It was soo much fun!! I painted this little bowl for dips, etc and Mackenzie painted this cute little guitar tray. We were there for well over an hour and then walked next door, ordered some ice cream and brought it home. We cuddled up on the couch and ate ice cream together!!!!

It was such a great time together, and I know we need to do it more often!!!

Today Mackenzie is going to a cheerleading clinic that the high school cheerleaders put on for a few hours. She is quite excited about it!!! Go HOOVER!
