Aloha!

Aloha!! We are back from Kauai!!!!!! There aren't even words to describe our trip! We had an amazing time and the island is just spectacular and beautiful.....truely God's creation!!! We had sooo much fun catching up with Tracy and Todd, their families, and friends. It was so great to be able to share in their special day in such a special place. The ceremony was so romantic and right on the beach!! Our first day there, Steve and I went on a Catamaran boat ride that takes you around to the northern part of the island. This part of the island you can only get to by boat or a 2 day hike in. The scenery is stunning!!! On our way there, we saw a school of dolphins and the boat slowed up near them. The water was soo still and clear.......I was able to catch some awesome pictures....it was like you could reach out and touch them. We then got to get out and swim and snorkel. Simply spectacular........a highlight in my life!
After the wedding festivities ended on Monday, we enjoyed relaxing by the pool and beach the next few days, napping (yeah!), and quiet dinners where we actually were able to talk and eat slowly (HA HA!!)
We definitely missed the girls, but they were in great hands with Papaw!!! He did an awesome job with them and everyone had a great time!
We arrived home Friday evening, quite jet lagged, so had a pretty quiet weekend. Steve had taken Monday off as well, so it was nice to relax as a family for four days before he returned to work today. We did go to some 4th of july festivities, but then came back home to put Taylor to bed and watch some neighborhood fireworks. (With our time zone, it doesnt get dark until like 9 or 10pm, so its a late night to stay up for fireworks!) Mackenzie was a trooper and stayed awake, and we let her have sparklers. She and Steve had a ball lighting them and then catching fireflies!! It was picture perfect! (ill try to post those pictures in the next few days!!)
Other big news...... Mark and Marybeth are the proud parents of baby William!! He was born the Saturday we left (of course he waited until we left!! :)) Big baby.... 8 lbs, 11 oz!!! Marybeth unfortunately ended up having a c-section, but she is doing well and they are a happy little family!!!!
That's all for now.......Im off to bed. I posted my favorite pics from Hawaii....it was hard to choose!!! Ill work on emailing an album out!!!
