Spring Break Week

Gosh, where do I begin....last week was spring break for Mackenzie so we had no school and no activities, just lots of down time and playdates, which was nice!!!

Easter was great, although quite cold. The girls were excited in the morning to see their Easter baskets had been filled. We were then off to church, and then home for naps before heading over to our friends the Rivera's for dinner. We had a really nice time with their family as always and then home for bed.

Oh, and the night before Easter, Steve and I went out on a date!! Oma was over to spend the night for Easter, so Steve and I got the girls ready for bed and then went to see 27 Dresses (we have a movie theater that is $1 movies all the time) After the movie we went to a new restaurant, Quaker Steak and Lube, sat at the bar and had wings and a beer. (They are supposed to be known for their wings and they were good!)

During the week, we were able to meet up with some friends for playdates and do some fun stuff. Unfortunately winter is still hanging on here, and they kids werent really able to go outside much.

Friday night Steve had a family Bowling night for his subgroup. The girls were so excited to bowl and they both had a blast. Mackenzie actually did pretty well, granted the bumpers were up. Taylor had a great time, but stayed up way past her bedtime, and about 10pm became a bit delirious and acting quite silly!!

Mackenzie got to go sleep over at Oma's yesterday. She gets to go over there every couple of months and she has such a great time. It is something special for her to be able to do. It was very quiet with just Steve, Taylor, and myself last night. Taylor insisted we go out to dinner, including getting her shoes and coat on, her purse, and her "credit card" because she was going to buy dinner. How could we say no to that....so we took her out to dinner!!

Here are some pictures from Easter.....Taylor was being a ham....imagine that!
