I made it through week one of my HIFI class!! I think it is the hardest thing Ive ever done physically and mentally. I am really trying to push myself as much as possible and follow the nutrition guidelines to really make the most of it. We eat pretty well for the most part, but I am really going to try to eat right going forward and make all this hard work worth it.
The three hours in one way goes by quick, but on the other hand seems like forever. I think the first hour is the hardest,. getting warmed up, and then you kind of get in the zone. My muscles aren't as sore as I expected, but I am totally exhausted by mid afternoon. I get Sat and Sun off, and then back to it on Monday!!
I do feel a difference in my body already, and like Ive lost some weight (and I better be :)) so it will be interesting to see what I lose in the two weeks.
The trainers are all awesome, and have so much experience and knowledge. Many of them are used to training high school kids, so they are pushing us pretty hard. We are doing running, kick boxing, weight training, spinning, and endurance work. The two hardest things we have done are the spinning class (so not my cup of tea, but a GREAT workout!) and then one of our trainers (nicknamed crazy Dave) took us to two diferent hills (if you can call a 45 degree incline a hill) where we had to sprint up and back, do suicides up and back numerous times. As hard as the class is, it so exhilarating and I feel so good after we are done each day.
There are only 8 days of school left until this year is over....so hard to believe Mackenzie will be done with first grade and Taylor done with her first year of preschool. Mackenzie has been moved into the top reading group in her class and reading with kids that are a year older than her in age. I am so happy that we made the decision not to hold her back because of her age. I really am proud of her and what she has accomplished and learned this year, as well as some of the friends she has made. She has dealt with some not so nice girls in her class, but has handled it really well and matured alot.
Taylor has also made some good friends, whom she will be in class with again next year. Her best friend is a little girl Lindsay, and her mom and I have become good friends too. She is actually doing the HIFI class with me.
My goal this weekend, now that I have a little extra time is to finally get some pics up!

Hope to see you tomorrow. I have heard all about the HIFI class from Martha- sounds like something I need to get me whipped back into shape now that Silas is here ;)
